Altruist is a fast-growing American Startup from Los Angeles/California. It’s an all-in-one financial advisor platform that helps (human) advisors give clients a delightful experience with their money.

• Technical reference for a team of 10 in developing and maintaining every aspect of the performance reporting services for the Performance Reporting Team.
• Built from scratch and owned the entire lifecycle of 9 microservices, such as the Performance Reporting Services, Analytics Services, Financial Services and Benchmark Services.
• Built the Data Pipeline for the team to handle external Integrations made through SFTP, using Apache Airflow for job scheduling and orchestration and DBT, Snowpipes and Snowflake for data transformation and quality.
• Designed and built the CI/CD pipelines for all the services using Jenkins and then migrated them to GitLab, where I used Gitlab Pipelines to improve maintenance and speed of the builds and deployment by more than 100%.
• Designed and implemented REST APIs for all services using enterprise patterns and standards with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Implemented APIs integrations with external data providers and other internal systems of the company, using EAI patterns, SOLID Principles, and Design Patterns when needed while ensuring reusability and code coverage above 80% using Sonar, Jacoco, and Gradle.
• Provides mentoring on Agile, code reviews and OO best practices, and technical leadership for the team.

B3 is one of the largest exchanges in the world in terms of market value, the second largest in the Americas, and the leading exchange in Latin America.

• Co-founded the Center of Excellence in Machine/Deep Learning technologies vertical to set the standards for the company while it entered the AI era. Developed many different products such as:
  •  Custom models and products using Anomaly Detection to check uncommon patterns of trades and positions
  • Custom models using NLP to extract relevant information from listed companies’ documents
  • Custom models using Computer Vision to check google images addresses against declared income to verify discrepancies (fraudsters can use favela’s addresses and have high incomes to hide suspect businesses)
  • Custom models using Predictive Modeling to anticipate clients’ withdrawals from Bond products offered by B3
  • Custom models using Customer Segmentation to better target advertisement.
  • Supervised AI projects using established products with partners such as Google, Microsoft, Neo4j, and startups to develop proofs of concept of many innovative ideas.

Lead Engineer for a team of 10 Senior Engineers and two third-party companies for four years at the idea, conception, development,
deployment, and maintenance of a high-impact and high-complexity platform that handled OTC Derivatives (Swaps, NDFs, FXOptions and
Corporate Actions).

• This platform took care of all Brazilian OTC Trade Registration, having USD 80B under management.
• Applied Scrum methodology and XP practices to engineer and implement the CI/CD pipeline for this platform using Jenkins and Flyway for database versioning, bringing same-day feedback of the changes made to the system instead of the three weeks feed backcycle the team had before.
• Led the development of the first blockchain project in Brazil (with the three largest banks in the country), developed in Corda. The project involved Identity Sharing and increased awareness of the Central Bank of Brazil on the possibilities of the technology
• Led the platform’s deployment and troubleshooting at B3’s production environment – a mission-critic and rigid structure comprising thousands of systems working together at very tight schedules – by defining data migration and component orchestration strategies. My leadership at that guaranteed that we’ve never had a single failed deployment or significant failure during the period I was responsible for the platform.
• Received the B3 Highest Award 3 years in a row (given only to the top 1% of ~2000 employees) due to my performance and ownership of all aspects of this highly complex platform. This feat was an outstanding achievement for the Brazilian Capital Market, which was recognized by many directors and the CTO at the time.
