Douglas is a Senior Full-Stack Engineer and Team Lead with over 20 years working in the SDLC. His greatest strengths are data architecture, back-end APIs, middleware, authorization authentication, front-end component design and creation, and creating end-to-end testing and component-testing strategies. His strongest technical skills are in the .Net framework, Microsoft SQL, Asp.net and Angular. Douglas excels in supporting frameworks and libraries for that stack using jQuery, WebMVC, JSON, XML, and OAuth. His goals are to use his extensive understanding of legacy systems to upgrade and migrate systems to modern frameworks, gain more experience driving improvements in legacy systems to modern architectures, and provide mentorship and guidance to other developers to help them in their career paths. Hire DouglasHe was hired to migrate the system from a legacy application to a modern framework. As well as enhancing the existing system, spent the rest of my time learning the legacy system as a user, and its architecture, to begin creating the new application.
He was responsible for enhancing our cloud-based medical charting software, used by thousands of doctors, across over 1000 clients. He worked with the Chief Medical Officer to create a plan and execute a number of changes over the course of several months to return the site’s performance to a baseline. He had the opportunity to work with many teams and this gave me the experience to permit me to be selected to help define and design an overall plan for a new Single Sign system. He would present changes to the teams, as well as management. He would contribute to sprints and provide feedback on code reviews.
He was responsible for designing the team features and functionality for the front end of a custom intelligent lighting systems. He spent much of his time at Gooee creating custom components to provide interfaces for clients to interact with their lighting systems. These components were written in Angular, JavaScript, and HTML. He was also responsible for communicating issues with the other teams and creating tests and unit tests for the components that were created.
He was responsible for architecting the new Greenfield application to replace the legacy application.
